"my" is probably in the xotcl namespace. When I'm coding with XOTcl I
always start with the following:


package require XOTcl
namespace import xotcl::*

Then I have direct access to all XOTcl commands:

Class Stack

Stack instproc init {} {
   my instvar things
   # ...
}
