Michael, use

foreach t $tracks {
        set m [::wings::model::TrackModel new]
        $m dbRead $t
        my lappend tracks $m
}

or shorter:

foreach t $tracks {
        my lappend tracks [::wings::model::TrackModel new -dbRead $r]
}
